It came down to Thunder, Wind, Barons, Marshalls, Energy and Bison (Where's Captain Planet when you need him?), but Oklahoma City chose "Thunder" as the nickname for their new NBA franchise. While it's not a bad choice, I can't help but think there are better names out there. What would be their mascot? And is there really a logo, besides the basketball with the blue backdrop?I personally prefer Bison, but that's only because they're delicious.
